HTML-5 a boon for Corporate E-Learning… with a little rider

As an e-learning company specializing in e-learning content development for corporates, we have seen a surge in the request for HTML5 output of e-learning modules over the last few months.
This is majorly due to the fact that, although it may seem like a tech jargon, HTML5 simply enables you to view and play your e-learning modules on any devise-anytime!
A little rider however is that a seemingly very interesting file may not seem so appealing on a mobile as the look and feel of the same file is very different on a smaller screen (same as seeing a website on a mobile or watching a movie on it)!
Hence, to ensure that the learner is engaged thoroughly in both cases-while using a mobile or a computer, the Instructional designers and UI designers need to work in tandem to create modules which are fun to work on either at your desk-or on the move.

One critical element you need to be very focused on when developing e-learning modules to be accessed on both the Computers and mobile devises, is - interactivity. While using a smart phone people are more prone to tab and swipe, while on the other hand it is click-click on the comp.
So, optimize your screens to suit both the comp and the mobile and bingo!...your e-learning module stands a much better chance of getting the desired results!

We have had some wonderful experiences on designing bespoke corporate e-learning courses to be accessed on computers and mobile devises. If you are exploring to provide this wonderful option to your employees, …do drop a mail to aswani@xlprotraining.com and I shall be glad to provide you both quick tips and comprehensive solutions to transform the way your e-learning modules are accesses and relished!
